Why I started Writing

-Life is a balance of holding on
and letting go.-Keith Urban

I started writing my sophmore year of high school, my english teacher got me started,
I found out that it was a great release for me. I started saving all my poetry in a
little black book. Then I started entering my poetry in contests, two of my poems are
published. One is in the Library of Congress and one is in a book of local high school
student's poetry.

Now I just write poetry as a release from life, some people write journals, I write
poetry, it allows me to write how I feel and I can share it with other people, and unlike
journals it is not as personal but allows me to express myself.

So these are my journal entries, so read them and enjoy, maybe you can relate
or just appreciate them for what they are...self expression.
